From the relaxing seating areas, verandas & the swimming pool, our guests can enjoy their privacy with views to the White Mountains, the village & the lush green cretan landscape.
Our wish is that our guests experience our space, as if it were their own vacation house, enjoying their autonomy and privacy.
Also, thinking ecologically and locally, from beds to toiletries, we use energy efficient & eco-friendly cooling & heating systems, solar water heaters, and recycling, in an effort to reduce our ecological footprint.

Other things to note :
My father, 12 years ago, had the vision of creating a unique place that would highlight the Cretan architecture (Ottoman and Venetian), but at the same time keep the simplicity of the cretan countryside. Following this concept, along with a lot of his personal hard work, i worked together to make simple & minimal interiors, experimenting with raw materials & wabi sabi philosophy. Thus, we created the Prinus Country Retreat.
Gregory, the man behind the vision, an extrovert, that seizes the day(even though he's retired), might chit-chat with you about his olive oil or his wine & maybe even make some joke. He loves stone and wood, as myself too. Certainly in many ways we agree and in many other.. we disagree! :)
Having left home and returned, having searched for experiences and tasted different cultures, I have landed at Chania and now I manage our family project.
