Enjoy the ultimate peace and quiet at our property, with only the gentle lull of the river in the background. Nestled in the scenic Applegate River area, this retreat offers a serene escape while still being close to local conveniences and attractions.
Ruch: About 15 minutes away, featuring a local market, a few charming restaurants, and small-town amenities.
Jacksonville: Just 25 minutes total, offering endless dining, shopping, wine tasting, and historic attractions.
Perfect for relaxation, nature walks, or river-side mornings.
Guests have full access to the entire property, outdoor areas, and all amenities. You’ll enjoy complete privacy and freedom to relax, cook, and explore at your own pace.

Jacksonville is another 10 minutes beyond Ruch, offering more activities, restaurants, and entertainment.
Once at the property, you can enjoy a peaceful retreat without needing to drive, listening only to the river and nature.

➤ Septic tank: Only toilet paper and human waste should go down drains. No food scraps, feminine products, or other items.
➤ Well water: Safe and tested. Simultaneous use of showers, dishwasher, and washing machine may reduce water pressure, plan accordingly.
✅ Critters & Wildlife
➤ Wild animals: Expect deer, turkeys, and occasionally bobcats, mountain lions, or bears. Do not approach wildlife; supervise children outside.
➤ Bugs: Box Elder bugs may appear—they do not bite or eat food. A dustbuster is available to remove them.
✅ River Safety
➤ The Applegate River is beautiful but not safe for swimming on-site.
➤ Use designated paths if visiting the river; footing can be tricky.
➤ For swimming, boating, or kayaking, visit Hart-Tish Park at Applegate Lake (few miles south).
✅ Fireplaces & Outdoor Safety
➤ Firewood available outside by kitchen side door; more at north end of property.
➤ Only burn non-coated paper; ensure flue is open.
➤ No outdoor fires due to forest fire risk.

The natural setting, the unique house, and hidden spot down by the river where wonderful. Check in and out was easy and the property has a refreshing uniqueness to it. Had a blast in Jacksonville, Ashland, and Medford.

My friend and I stayed here and had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the many different seating areas, the well stocked kitchen, the large back deck, and of course the beautiful river view! Would love to come back soon.
