About this house rental
Get away from the hustle bustle and relax with nature. Farm house is nestled near the Wayne National Forest and historic Marietta, Ohio. Also just 1 mile from Grizer Castle. This old farmhouse has been opened up and has a spacious first floor with two bedrooms on the second level. Der Bauernhof is the name of this quaint old farm house. Take a hike or sit on the deck and watch the deer, turkeys and numerous birds. We have created a pond and stocked it with many varieties of fish. If you’re interested in fishing, let me know and we’ll be able to assist you. Our newest addition are two Nigerian Dwarf Goats, Thor & Loki.

It's amazing how Cynthia and Kevin have transformed this property! The house is beautiful and comfortable, nature is right in your backyard, and everything is so peaceful. Perfect for those looking for quiet and privacy while enjoying the mid-Ohio valley. I also highly recommend it for anyone attending an event at Grizer Castle!

What a wonderful, spacious home with more room than the photos do justice. Everything worked well, the living room was comfortable for me and my three hiking buddies.After hiking the Archers Fork Loop okay another 7 miler trail -way underestimating the distance to hike-coming back and making a beautiful dinner and chilling with friends was fantastic. And I loved the goats!Highly recommended. I am almost certain I will be back there.

Property was very nice and one of the best stocked we’ve stayed at. Freshly painted, and very quiet. But it was very rural 25-30 minutes to nearest grocery store/Marietta, bedroom upstairs with bathroom downstairs, no Wi-Fi and very spotty cell/data coverage with Verizon.
