About this cottage rental
Single storey cottage for 4 people located approx. 5 km from Honfleur and 15 km from Deauville in a quiet and green village with local shops 150m away.
It comes from a complete rehabilitation and it subtly combines the charm of the old and the contemporary.

It is located on a pleasant, fully enclosed plot of 2,000 m² with ample private parking.
It includes a large living room with dining area opening onto a fully fitted open kitchen, 2 bedrooms with their private bathroom. Separate WC. Large storage room. Total area of approximately 90 m²
160 cm beds with memory foam mattresses for excellent comfort.
Main equipment: dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, fan and microwave ovens, induction hob, dishes and kitchen utensils. Small household appliances (toaster, coffee maker, blender, etc.)
Table, chairs and barbecue on the terrace.
Flat screen TV, Blu Ray player.
Linens provided.(Sheets, towels)
Small pets allowed with reservation.
Nearby leisure: visits to recognized sites, such as Mont St Michel, Fécamp, landing beaches, typical villages of the Pays d'Auge.

The cottage has been a refurbished barn, and completed to the highest standard. Cleanliness equalled the standard, and everything that you would require is supplied. It is set in a huge well maintained garden where you can sit and relax after a day sightseeing.

The cottage is a perfect size, beautifully furnished and decorated and has been the best equipped holiday home we ever stayed at (the kitchen for example has everything you could need). The bed was extremely comfortable, too, with lovely bedding - we slept so well!We booked this place because we wanted to be away from the loud fireworks with our old dog who gets frightened, and we were not disappointed - we had a wonderful quiet and relaxing time here.The garden is very large and well kept, you can close the gate and then it is safe to let your dog run and play. The owners of the cottage were very friendly and very welcoming. They showed us everything on arrival, and checked in with us during our stay to ensure we were happy and to answers any questions we might have. We felt very well looked after.We loved the area for dog walks. Honfleur with its picturesque little streets and shops and Le Havre are only a short drive away. You can also easily drive to larger cities such as Rouen and Caen to spend the day.Overall, this was a wonderful holiday and we highly recommend staying here. We cannot thank Elisabeth and Jean-Yves enough for being such wonderful hosts. We will definitely come back again in future.

This was our first holiday in France and we couldnt have hoped for better accommodation than this gite in Ablon. We were met on arrival by Jean-Yves and Elisabeth who showed us round and made us feel at home straight away. The gite is very well equipped, comfortable and in a good location for exploring this part of Normandy. We can recommend visiting Bayeux (Tapestry and Cathedral), Arromanches (D-Day landing beach) and Deauille and Trouville, but the best of all was Honfleur (just a few miles away) and we spent many an hour wandering through the lanes looking in a variety of shops before having a meal sat outside one of the many cafes/restaurants in the Vieux-Bassin. Thank you Jean-Yves and Elisabeth for helping to make this a holiday to remember!
