Good location - had a garage for us, which was great.
The bath had a shower over, but no slip mat and that bath was curved, so quite dangerous

I found the male colleague on reception very helpful and friendly. He helped find me an adaptive charger as I had left mine at home. He also gave me a printed map showing the location of the hotel and how to get down to the centre of the city. He also carried my suitcase up to the room for me. I think for a small hotel the standard was very good. Also offered to book a restaurant reservation that the young man on reception had recommended for good seafood, after talking about going out on my own.
I would say that being on the 2nd floor and not having a lift was not ideal for someone who struggles, but as I was initially travelling with someone else and selected this hotel because the room type and availability to have two rooms was why we had picked the hotel. I did notice that they do not offer milk in the room - you are offered coffee and mainly herbal teas, and bottled water, with the exception of a breakfast tea, but no milk was included in the room. It would be nice if you had the option to have French Television with English subtitles as no English channels available.

We have used this hotel several times over some years and we are always pleased. The position is excellent, in a quiet side street, spotlessly clean in communal areas and rooms, very comfortable beds and crisp white clean bedding. Staff are friendly and welcoming and communication is great. Will always come back to this hotel as our first choice when we need a room in St. Malo.
Room was a bit small, not much space on sides of bed to move around but that is very typical of Saint Malo and is not a problem for a night or two.
