Cragside View Lodge

I loved the privacy of the property as-well as the location being the edge of the site along with right next to the main walk. It was spacious with all the basic necessity’s and the WiFi worked the full time we were there along with the hot tub. The kitchen was ideal for what was required also.

There was really only 2 things that stood out on our stay. Firstly the twin beds mattresses were reportedly quite uncomfortable so much so a blanket was used as a mattress topper. The other was the BBQ because although ideal it was very dirty and couldn’t be used unless we used a disposable BBQ.

Internet was a nightmare we couldn’t even watch tv. The property could do with a good spring clean both inside and out but overall good value for money.

The shower head in the main bathroom was not attached because it was broke but did not affect my stay in any way but should of been picked up on before renting out to paying guests

Location / outdoor decked area

Hot tub cleanliness on all 3 days not up to scratch. Needed cleaning and chlorine 1 day. Responsive owners when asked. But for the price paid we shou ldn't have had to contact them. And again for the price we paid, the overall cleanliness and fixtures and fittings of the caravan should have been better. The caravan is old and it shows. Superb caravan in its day you can see. Needs a bit of money spent on it inside. And a mega wash outside. And the cleaners need to see what we as guests see - and it stuns me they can't. We paid £180 per night and stayed 3 nights. A fair price would be £120 per night.
