What a property! What a location! And the facilities in the house were excellent, and were perfect for our large family gathering. This place is superb, unique.

12 people stayed, including young children. The bedrooms were large (superb 4 poster bed right out of the history books and very comfortable in 1 room) with most being en-suite, the others being next door to a bathroom and shower.
The kitchen facilities are excellent and we had no problem catering for our party.
The grounds are beautiful (we were lucky with the weather) and long walks are recommended, visit the tree house and orangey, also look out for the Peacocks and Hens.
We also had 2 dogs in our party. Secure area for the dogs and they could walk around the ground floor without supervision.

We recently stayed at The Gentleman’s Quarters near Shrewsbury, it was a wonderful weekend. The property is a wing of a beautiful historic Elizabethan hall, and from the moment we arrived we felt genuinely privileged to be staying somewhere so full of character and heritage.
Despite its impressive size, the building was warm, welcoming, and surprisingly homely. There was plenty of space for our group of twelve friends to relax together, whether chatting over breakfast or unwinding in the evenings in the panelled dining room with a roaring log fire. The setting was equally lovely—peaceful countryside all around, perfect for walks and exploring.
