About this farm stay rental
Family room with a double bed and 1 single bed, tea and coffee making facilities and a TV.
Dykefield is a working farm close by Mauchline, Ayrshire. Our B&B is tourist board rated, situated approximately a mile from Mauchline on a quiet side road, out of sight of Mauchline itself. Dykefield sits on a rise and commands a panoramic view across rolling Ayrshire countryside.
Mauchline is well placed for access to Glasgow and the Central Belt, Ayrshire, and Dumfries & Galloway. It is a good stop over for visitors heading (or returning from) further North.
Several airports and ferry terminals are near and readily accessible.
The B&B is a self-contained annex to the main Farm House and has its own front door. The annex has three bedrooms, 2 family rooms and a single room. Bedrooms are upstairs with a shared guest shower room with toilet downstairs, and Dinning room on ground floor.
Children under are 5 free.
Mauchline is perhaps best known world wide for being the former home of Robert Burns. In 2002, Mauchline Burns Club unveiled the worlds first statue to his wife, Jean Armour. The village is also home of Mauchline Ware and Smith's boxworks, a major employer in the village for many years. Mauchline also boasts the only working curlingstone factory in the country.

Working farm off the main road, beautiful surroundings and ideal for our stopover on the way to Inverness. The town, with connection great Scottish poet Robbie Burns, is just 5 to 10 minutes drive away. Worth a walk round and explore. Lynda is friendly and helpful offering a warm welcome and a substantial morning breakfast. As i intend coming up to the Highlands again and again, i will certainly use the place as a stopover to break up the travelling.

Our group of 3 enjoyed our one night stay at Dykefield Farm. Lynda’s accommodations were exactly as advertised. Just as a note for future guests, the bedrooms are up one flight of stairs and the bathroom downstairs and shared between guests. This worked just fine for our group! The best part was the delicious breakfast the next morning! Lynda did a great job of making us comfortable!
