The location is absolutely fantastic and the views are wonderful. There are some great restaurants nearby, and of course the gorge!
Everything about our experience was just a bit odd unfortunately. Here's a little taster:
- There is a dog that is chained up day and night at the property entrance, and he barks day and night. Very difficult to get a good night's sleep even if you have been walking all day!
- On our first morning there wasn't any breakfast whereas on the second morning there was. The person in charge explained that she hadn't been organised enough on the first day.
- The communal kitchen was tiny, messy and reminiscent of student accommodation - not what you would expect for the price
- The bar was closed because the bar tender had taken a trip for a week.
- The place was being run by a volunteer who spoke limited English
- The owner when we checked out said that it isn't meant to be a hotel, so I am not sure why they are listing on booking.com
