About this cottage rental
Our first property, the cottage, is situated in a large courtyard with ample parking and has been renovated to retain many of it's original features. It is a large 1 bedroom property with 1 double bed. The property has a private south facing patio and a balcony overlooking the courtyard. The property is double glazed and has electric heating and a fireplace. A child's bed and cot are available.
Ground Floor:
Spacious kitchen/dinning area with dual aspect triple patio doors opening on to private sun terrace. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas cooker, fridge/freezer, micro- wave and washing machine. The lounge has an original granite fireplace, wood burner and beamed ceilings. There is comfortable seating for four people, English and French TV, internet wireless, a DVD player and a CD/radio/cassette player.
First Floor:
Large dual aspect double bedroom with en-suite bathroom.
Outside:
Patio furniture and barbecue provided.
The hamlet of Crec’h Mordo is 1.5km near to the Medieval town of Pontrieux which is situated on the estuary/river Trieux and is close to many beautiful beaches from 20 mins drive. The two adjoining cottages have been renovated to a very high standard and offer comfortable accommodation. The town and its port offer a wide selection of restaurants, shops and a weekly market. Extensive grounds with badminton and games on site. There is electric heating for the colder months and with Internet connection offers comfortable all year round accommodation. Both properties are fully equipped with a downstairs kitchen/ dining and lounge area, (with a sofa bed in cottage), and upstairs bathrooms. The Cottage has a large double bedroom, the Longere 1 double and 1 twin bedroom. There are private south facing sun terraces with garden furniture and barbecues. Children's games and toys are available along with several adult and children's bikes. There is English/ French TV in both properties and internet connection.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage. We loved the peace and quiet of the location. The cottage was spacious and the views out onto the garden delightful. We enjoyed being able to use the kitchen to make the most of cooking with delicious local ingredients. The log burner was great for chilly evenings, making the sitting room nice and cosy.

Wonderful welcome package and hostess pleasant and helpful throughout stay.
Unfortunately because of the fact that we both have mobility problems the property was not really suitable. We found the stairs very difficult and my husband found moving about in bedroom difficult because of sloping roof. We were aware that there was not a walk in shower but this proved to be quite a problem.

The cottage is spacious and set in lovely gardens. The host was really welcoming and helpful - lots of information about the area and she made sure we had everything we needed. The location is beautiful and peaceful - a great jumping off point to explore the coast and further afield. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful week here. Everything you could ask for to recharge your batteries lovely outlook back and front of property. Drive right up to your door and your own private patio at the back house.
Well stocked super market on the outskirts of your side of the village just a couple of minutes in the car, or very quiet roads if you wanted to walk.
Pontrieux itself is very pretty with its old buildings and plenty of eating places or just have coffee and watch.
Stroll along the quay and at the far end you will find the railway station with a train every few hours which will connect you to many of the large towns.
Janet and Michael were the perfect hosts,
there if you needed them but left you alone to enjoy your holiday once you were reassured help was on hand. There are so many places to visit we managed the pink granite coast the local chateau La Roche Jagu, Zooparc at Tregomeur and caught the train to Paimpol.
A very good holiday would love to do it all again.
