This villa is part of a group of 3 villas built on a steep hillside aside the village of Maroulas and completed in autumn,The surroundings are very peaceful and include many groves of olive and fruit trees.
When continuing the road (which has been newly paved in autumn, 2009) further up, the first houses of the old village center appear after 150 meters.
Maroulas is a picturesque medieval village on a slope above the bay of Rethymnon. In the village center there is a kafenion, a herb shop, and the taverna of Papas Nikos who is the local priest.
4 kms below Maroulas there are the hotel suburbs of Platanias and Adelianos Campos which provide beaches, watersport facilities, supermarkets, shops and restaurants. The National Road from Iraklion to Rethymnon (10 kms) and further on to Hania (67 kms) runs down there as well.
Iraklion airport is 89 kms away, Hania airport 74 kms.
The villa is obliquely above one of the others, and clockwise rotated by 45 ° against it. The parking beside the house joins one level with the middle floor.
The sun terrace and the swimming pool are on a separate level on the south west side. Between all buildings and terraces,
On the Middle Floor there is:
• a living room with suite, satellite color Tv and open fireplace
• a dining area with an integrated open-plan kitchen
• a bedroom with a queen size double bed (160 cm wide)
• a bathroom with a bath tub and a washing machine
Large sliding glass doors give access from the living room to a veranda with garden furniture and sea view.
Firewood is available (except during the high summer).
An inner staircase leads from the living-area to the top floor.
On the Upper Floor there is:
• a second bedroom with a queen size double bed (160 cm wide)
• a third bedroom with two single beds
• a shower bathroom
• Both bedrooms have access to the upper veranda with sea view.

On the Lower Floor there is:
• a second living room with suite and satellite color Tv
• a second dining area with an integrated open-plan kitchen
• a fourth bedroom with a queen size double bed (160 cm wide)
• a fifth bedroom with two single beds
• a bathroom with a bath tub
• The lower floor can be accessed via an outer staircase and makes a complete dwelling-unit of it's own.
• All living rooms and bedrooms have separate air coditioning units.
In all bathrooms there is warm water from solar collectors.
Wireless internet access (wifi) in all rooms as well as on the sun terrace.
