Had a couple of problems but staff sorted them very quickly was cosy & comfortable would stay again

The location was perfect for us as we were visiting family. A shop just round the corner and the town centre was only a short walk. There were very nice pubs serving food nearby too.
There was no wifi. The TV had no aerial connection but did have an amazon firestick attached. No use though with no wifi.

there are quite a few National Trust properties in the area which were great to visit all had cafe's for lunch. the beach at whitley bay was beautiful. National Heritage also have some castles you can investigate. The Hadrians Wall is also near. Weather was good for us too.
no mop or large cloth to clean up spills and we did have a leak after heavy rain. not the fault of owners just life.

Other than the bathroom was property was fairly clean throughout, it's pretty basic for the price of it I think, I've paid a lot less in previous years for a similar location and got a lot more for my money. Area is quiet and pleasant and didn't have a problem with parking either which is always a plus.
The accommodation was fairly okay, could do with a bit of TLC and some tea towels would be nice!
The bathroom desperately needs looking at, it smelt damp as soon as we walked into the property, much of the tile grouting is mouldy as is the sealant round the bath, the shower curtain is horrendous, covered in mould, and just needs to be replaced - it's something that has been mentioned in several reviews previous to mine and yet seems to have been ignored.
