This semi-detached cottage is set in a delightful rural aspect in the grounds of the owners’ own property.. Ground Floor:

Kitchen/dining room: Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine
Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet

First Floor:
Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed
Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds. Electric heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included, remainder available from owner at cost. Highchair and stairgate. Garden with garden furniture and barbecue (shared with other property). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is a natural water supply from a spring.. Situated on a small country lane, Clifford Place Cottages (refs UK31573 and UK31585) are tucked away in a sought after location between the small village of Clifford and the hamlet of Priory Wood. The properties lie above the beautiful Wye Valley, just ¾ mile from the Black Mountain and close to the Brecon Beacon National Park. The Black and White Village Trail is also nearby, along with the delightful market town of Hay-on-Wye, with its world renowned annual Hay Market which is held on the first Saturday of every month, starting from April. The historic cathedral city of Hereford is approximately 20 miles away and offers an array of bars, shops and restaurants for guests to enjoy on a day out to the city. Canoeing and pony trekking can also be organised. These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 9 guests.

Tucked away down a narrow lane, which loops back to the main road and for some reason my sat nav insisted on sending me the long way round the loop. The kitchen/diner window looks directly out at the main gate to the owner's property so you see all the comings-and-goings. Also the sitting room has a communicating door to the adjoining property, so you can hear some of what is going on next door in the evening. I'm 5'4" so I had no problem with the beam across the landing, but it has been marked with red and white tape for a reason. But the owners and their dog were friendly, there was a proper freezer, and I don't need a pub within walking distance so I thoroughly enjoyed staying there.
