This detached barn conversion is close to Kirkby Stephen, with great transportation for both the Lakes and the Dales.. All on the Ground Floor:

Enclosed courtyard with garden furniture. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: There is a slope from the patio into the car parking area.. Gelderslack Barn has been fully renovated for 2020 to a very good standard providing excellent holiday accommodation for a quiet break or romantic get-away. The converted barn is situated in the beautiful Eden Valley which lies within the triangle of the Lake District National Park, the Yorkshire Dales and the North Pennines, making it an ideal base for touring.
Eden is an outstanding area for walking, whether you enjoy a hike on the high open fells or a gentle riverside stroll. If you cycle, you’ll love the quiet country lanes full of wild flowers and birds. There are attractions for the whole family including canoeing or a steamer trip on Ullswater (20 miles). Enjoy a ride on a restored railway high in the North Pennines or catch the Settle to Carlisle railway line (5 miles), famous for its wonderful scenery and the 24 arched Ribblehead Viaduct. The unspoilt destination will inspire and refresh you at any time of year and a lively calendar of events throughout the year includes festivals, farmers’ markets, country and craft fairs and traditional agricultural shows.
The Barn is located just 1 mile from the traditional market town of Kirkby Stephen with its shops, pubs and restaurants, and the picturesque former county town of Appleby, which has a leisure centre and swimming pool is just 14 miles in the same direction. Shop and restaurant 2 miles, pub 200 yards.

Gelderslack Barn is a beautifuly restored property. Immaculately finished to a very high standard. Spotlessly clean. Lovely friendly owners. In a beautiful location with lovely walks all around. Great pub just up the road serving lovely food and very friendly staff. Our 2nd time there and will definitely be returning.

A gorgeous place to stay with plenty to do in the surrounding areas. We would definitely recommend and come again as you only scratch the surface in 4 days. Cottage well equipped although we didn't make use of it (kitchen) as there are plenty of places to eat close by. The pub at the top of the road was lovely and welcoming staff.
