About this house rental
The villa lies 1km from the charming village of Montecchio in a hilly location with fantastic panoramic view on the landscape and the village self. It lies in a very quiet area (no other houses nearby). It has an own garden with swimming pool (9,5 by 3,5 meter). The whole property is for private/exclusive use of the tenant. The pool area is equipped with parasols and sun loungers. The villa has a covered terrace and a gazebo, equipped with table and chairs to eat outdoor and enjoy the panoramic views. The villa is suitable for up to 9 persons. There are 4 bedrooms, the 3 bedrooms on the first floor are equipped with air conditioning. There is one bedroom with double, single bed and en-suite bathroom on the ground floor. About the bedrooms on the upper floor, there are 2 bedrooms with double bed and one with 2 single beds. The 3 bedrooms have to share two bathrooms with shower and toilet. Baby cot available on request. On the ground floor there are an equipped kitchen, living area with flat-TV and 5 sofa seats and dining area with table for 9. In the village of Montecchio there are: bar, baker, 2 butchers (by one it's also possible to buy cooked meals), small supermarket, grocery store, pharmacy. There are 3 more supermarkets and other shops in Baschi (11km). Big COOP supermarket, also open on Sunday, available in Orvieto Scalo close to the motorway exit. Recommendend restaurants: La Perla (in the centre of the village of Montecchio, it has also takeaway service), Sala della Comitessa (Baschi, 11 kms), Casa Vissani (Baschi at 11 kms...high quality but very expensive), Il fontanile (7 kms from Montecchio). At 10 km it is possible to visit the Falesco winery (visits and tasting from Monday to Friday). 200 meters before you arrive at the house there is a short steeps cemented road section.
From Montecchio it's possible to reach quickly the principal cultural and naturalistic beauties of Umbria, Rome and northern Lazio, southern Tuscany (it's at 20kms from the motorway Rome-Florence, exit Orvieto). The train station of Orvieto is at 25 Kms, from the train station it is possible to reach Rome and Florence in around 1h30.

The house was just as pictured. The only surprise was having to meet someone in town to follow them to the house. Driveway was a challenge, but once we got used to it, it was easy to find.
Guido had the pool ready for us earlier than he had planned. And we certainly enjoyed it. The views are stunning and the sunsets are incredible. Our goal was to centrally locate and then visit all the surrounding areas of Umbria, CC Perugia, Orvietto, Cortona, And many more. This was the perfect location. Monte has a great little restaurant called kilometer zero that we enjoyed several times during our stay. Any issues we had with the house, I texted Guido and within half an hour Claudia came out to the house to assist. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking, there was availability of a chef if we wanted. Good grocery stores in Orvietto. This was a great vacation house. Would definitely stay again!

We had a lovely time in Montecchio. The villa was well equipped and has amazing views. Perfectly placed for watching the sunset. Everything was very clean when we arrived and the pool was kept very clean. We mentioned that 2 of the sun beds were broken and someone was there to repair them the next morning. Lots to see and do nearby. The only negative is that the listing states that all bedrooms had air conditioning but the large downstairs bedroom did not. It got quite hot as the temperature reached 40°C while we were there.

The villa is beautifully presented. It is about 1.5km from the stunning village of montecchio - all up and down hills so walking with a pram would be very tricky off with
