MAMAKA Bali

A genuinely honest review — because what matters most is not perfection, but how a hotel responds. From arrival, the staff were kind, attentive, and true to their word — a clear reflection of strong management. During my 5 nights, I felt cared for and respected throughout. On the first night, I noticed a small amount of mould in the room, which affected me as I’m quite sensitive. I mentioned it, and despite the hotel being busy, the team handled it beautifully. They followed through and moved me to an upper-level room, which was perfect. Their willingness to make things right really stood out. The facilities are excellent — rooftop pool, beach access, and complimentary washing machines and dryers, which is a huge bonus when travelling. The cleaners were also fantastic. The food was very good with healthy options available, and the coffee was excellent. I’ve stayed in many places across Bali, and for the price, this is easily a 10/10+. I would absolutely stay again, whether travelling solo or with family. Highly recommend.

I am quite sensitive to mould, and in the initial room I could detect a very small amount. It was minimal and likely wouldn’t affect most guests, but it did impact me personally. That said, the team handled it very well and moved me the next day as promised. I would simply recommend that guests with sensitivities request a higher-level room in advance.

Have stayed at Mamaka several times, keep going back staff are amazing, friendly, efficient and obviously love their work environment, would highly recommend Mamaka. Location excellent, rooftop bar, pool and restaurant amazing

Good location for Legian (can walk to garlic lane and restaurants). Room clean. Staff friendly.

Although lots to choose from, our Breakfast was not very good. Very noisy. Walls are paper thin and you can also easily hear people out in the halls and music etc out the window side too. We were only here 1 night before we flew out. We could hear the TV in the next room the whole night, plus voices etc. I’d recommend wearing ear plugs!
