Setting is fantastic - it is rural within the city precinct of Malden/Nijmegen.
Quiet and restful.
Every amenity available.
Excellent hosts - welcoming, helpful but not intrusive.
Convenient position - bush at our backside, close to bus and main routes.
Nothing to not like.
Would recommend a suitcase holder in each bedroom to have suitcases off the floor.
A long mirror in each bedroom.
A swimming pool would be fantastic!

This cabin is set in a rural area close to Malden and Nijmegen. It is a rare location and the house is a rare find: it is characterised by interesting architecture, is well set-up and, from the elevated living area, has a wonderful view across the fields that are the property of the hosts. Forest can be found at the end of the road (where my husband jogged each morning), and other forests and walks are accessible nearby, by car. We also made a day trip, by train, to Utrecht, which is a charming old Dutch town. One bed is on the hard side and the other is more pliant, so you can choose what suits you best.
One of the bedrooms was a bit cold on arrival, but it soon warmed up. The host kindly provided an electric heater, and extra blankets.

Lovely and cute house with a thatched roof, fireplace and beautiful views over the field which is part of the estate of the owners. In the morning you can see deer wandering across the field. The owners just remodelled their large adjacent garden, so next time round it will be even more beautiful. The house has all the amenities and appliances you could wish for, with a proper kitchen and plenty of comfortable couches in the living room, and Marlies and Jan are very welcoming and friendly hosts. Great place from which to start (road/MTB) cycling or walking trips (the forest is just a short walk up the road). Supermarkets and Nijmegen city a short drive away.
