We had a fantastic stay at Ardgowan Cottage. The Host was extremely friendly and quick at replies given that our ferry may have been cancelled. The cottage is a 2 minute walk from the seafront which is stunning.
The cottage itself is so quiet with front and back space to enjoy. We were so lucky that we had such good weather in March.
It is incredibly comfortable on every level. The recliner sofas in the living room are lovely. You've got so many options with the TV, games and books.
The bedrooms have great storage and comfortable beds. The use of space and storage in the entire house is excellent.
The kitchen is extensive and ideal for cooking if you want. We stayed in 2 nights and it was easy to cook and relax.
Will definitely be back.

We loved the house and would stay again
The central heating had a mind of its own which isn't ideal in Marxh.

Location close to amenities and the sea front
Toilet/Shower room was down steep stairs whilst bedrooms were upstairs. There was no clear indication that this was the case and as an 81year old I would not have booked it.
We liked the decking but photos did not show how enclosed it was by buildings.
TV reception was such that picture and sound kept being lost.
Unfortunately building work was in progress nearby so that sitting on the decking in the daytime wasn't pleasant.
Disappointed that the claim of a "mountain view" suggested a more open outlook, whereas in effect there was a glimpse of Goatfell only from the second bedroom.
