Perfect base to explore Meteora. It’s literally the last house in Kastraki at the property boundary with the monasteries. Hiking trails abound nearly right outside the house. We hardly needed a car once we were situated. The hosts were very nice and gave us some interesting information about the area. 10 minute walk to the center of Kastraki with some decent restaurant options. The house itself is detached from the main family home so you get complete privacy and quiet. The beds are comfortable and large. Kitchen is great for a few nights. Oven is small but cooks very fast. Bathroom is large and shower has plenty of warm water, although don’t expect a great deal of pressure. Hosts left us snacks, wine, cooking basics. Very much appreciated.

The view of the monasteries from here is the best of any lodging in Kalambaka! The bed is comfortable, the hosts helpful. Plenty of free parking across the street.
Could use more flatware and kitchen utensils.
