The location was perfect for me, as I was visiting a friend who lives in the area. But in general the location is very nice anyway. Right on the tram line, close to the train station. It's a lovely residential area, quiet.
The bed was super comfortable! I absolutely loved it. The apartment was very clean and the whole building smelled very clean! The apartment had everything you'd need. I only used the bedroom and bathroom, but there was a kitchen and a living room woth tv and pullout couch.
A window in the bathroom had been left open i arrived, so the whole apartment was very cold when I checked in (in December). And the check in information left in the apartment was outdated, with the wrong password for the WiFi. I had to contact the host, which was difficult to do without wifi... But he answered promptly, so that's good.

Great location, just a few steps from the bus stop and tram station. Conveniently close to the supermarket. Excellent host, always responsive.
The unit is quite old, and many facilities are in need of repair and upgrades. For example, the stove requires a lighter to ignite, which is unsafe, and there is no smoke detector. The flooring is worn and creaks loudly when walking. The walls are not soundproof, so you can hear conversations and movement from outside and even from upstairs. Ventilation is very poor—almost nonexistent. During the hot summer in Bern, the unit felt extremely stuffy, almost like being in an oven
