Location, view and off street parking
Very tight drive up Shutta Rd to the property so not recommended for large cars but parking is available at the property.

Views were excellent. Deck would have been nice to sit on if the weather was warmer
Not easy to find the property. Access up a steep narrow lane and on a sharp bend difficult. Lots of stairs to access our apartment. Kitchen is very small but just adequate. Carpet in the lounge is wrinkled and a trip hazard

The property has a great aspect overlooking the river in Looe and is very handy for the train station and bus connections if you don’t want to take the car everywhere in the surrounding area. Beds are very comfy too. However…
The apartment (we stayed in the 3 bedroom Admirals at the top of the house) has been decorated and furnished to the owner’s taste but the layout just didn’t work for us. The kitchen and living room are the main problem. The kitchen is tiny and has a table for six sandwiched into one corner. Luckily there were only 3 of us but a group of 6 trying to eat in here? No way, a wall on one side an a fridge freezer on the other mean it’s just not practical. And why did they place the sink in a corner where you have to lean over to wash up?! As for the cupboards over that dining table…don’t bother, you can’t reach the doors easily. The kitchen needs a complete reconfiguration and you would have far more workspace etc. Put the dining table in the living room - there’s ample space in there if you get rid of the unnecessary IKEA sofa bed thing under that lovely picture window. And change the sofa - we spent half the time propping our backs up with cushions as we kept sliding down it! It’s not wide enough for 3 people either. The massage chair in the corner should go and be replaced with a normal armchair. And why is the TV mounted so far up the wall with wires hanging down from the back? Just put it on a stand, that’s far better for the neck! And finally, would it be too much to ask for a pair of oven gloves and a teapot in one of the loveliest spots in England??
