The hosts were super friendly and helpful. We booked a meal at the Italian restaurant in Helmsley on their recommendation and it was fabulous. The walk to Hemlsely was also easy to follow. The cottage was cosy and homely and the view was stunning. Just what we needed to recharge out batteries.
The bedroom was very hot and we struggled to sleep as we couldn't open the window very wide and it was quite small. A lighter weight quilt (or maybe just a sheet or blanket) and a fan would be good in the hot weather.
The shower was not very powerful, but I appreciate it's difficult with water pressure in some rural areas.

Stunning location with fabulous countryside views; close to beautiful market town of Helmsley and so many great places within an hours drive; superb hosts and lovely cottages with everything you need
