It's a very nice and quiet place, surrounded by forests. There are bike and walking paths over forested hills, through which one can get to Effretikon, the nearest town. The staff were very nice, especially Maria, who answered questions right away and solved a few problems for us.
The location. If you don't have your own car, this is somewhat distant from Effretikon, where you can take trains. Although it seems like there should be a bus from the station to the hotel, there isn't. You have to use either taxi or Uber. As of this writing (18 June 2023), it costs about 10 CHF from the station to the hotel, and 33 CHF (by Uber) from the hotel to the station! Also, there is no restaurant, grocery store, or cafe in the area. So, make sure to take food with you.
