This Lake Erie beachfront home located on Stoney Point is nestled in a private, wooded setting facing beautiful Lake Erie and Chautauqua creek trails as you enter the property, both offering breathtaking views and fun activities for everyone. This home is perfect for entertaining larger families and groups with a variety of outdoor spaces offering direct beach access or quiet wooded settings. On the beach you can spend time hunting for beach glass and driftwood, or take the short walk along the beach to Barcelona Harbor area to enjoy a bite to eat, a cocktail or even purchase smoked fish at the fish market. Barcelona Harbor also offers a marina and a public launching facility to access Lake Erie.
Do you want to go fishing? Take a charter out of the harbor, or try and hit the world renowned Steelhead fishery found in Chautauqua Creek. Don’t worry if Lake Erie is a little too rough on that day for boating. Make a trip to any one of the four inland lakes a short drive from the cottage. Chautauqua Lake is the largest and closest (5mi.) inland lake to the cottage. Chautauqua Lake offers many attractions available by boat that includes, The Chautauqua Institution, Midway Amusement Park, Long Point State Park, shopping, and numerous restaurant/bar establishments. There is truly something for everyone here.
Consider a wine tour if you’re looking to venture away from the lake for a bit. Lake Erie Wine Country, located in the largest grape-growing region east of the Rockies, extends roughly 45 miles from Silver Creek, New York to North East, Pennsylvania. At the end of 2011, it has become home to over 24 commercial and estate wineries. Other attractions within arms reach include Niagara Falls, restaurants, ski resorts, snowmobile trails, nature trails, golf courses, inland lakes, shopping, and a casino... most in less than a 30 mile radius. Additionally, one can partake in cultural and artistic entertainment at the historic Chautauqua Institution. Here you can enjoy their symphony, concerts, speaking venues and theater performances.
As a courtesy to the neighboring cottages, please respect the maximum number of guests in our home. We do understand that our guests want to share the experience of Stoney Point with friends and family. Visitors are certainly welcome, but please limit their numbers to ensure that there is minimal disturbance to the neighbors.
We are located ½ mile from the New York State Thruway (I-90), Exit 60. From here, you will find it’s a quick ride to and from the Buffalo or Erie International Airports.

You couldn't ask for better views of Lake Erie! We arrived it was rainy and icy, yet we found Stoney Point Cottage warm & cozy. As the weather warmed over the weekend we were able to have a bonfire one evening and enjoy the sounds of the calming waves. By morning a storm was moving in and we woke to some phenomenal waves. Travel was never a problem, we left with some great memories. We would love to return, for any season! No matter how cold it was outside, the cottage was cozy and comfortable.

I was able to secure this gem for a last minute getaway with my dog, Scarlett. The hosts were very accommodating, kind, timely and helpful with suggestions. The house was perfect t, well equipped with anything you may need. Access to the water was great and easy. The trees surrounding the property were beautiful bright fall colors. The area was safe and it was nice to sit on the porch to watch the sunrise with a cup of coffee and sunset with a glass of wine. Only disappointment was that the gorgeous fireplace was non working. I was looking forward to a fire on the chilly fall nights. I will definitely book again with my family!! Thank you for a lovely stay!!

I really can’t say enough good things about this place. This is our second time staying here and we are already planning our next visit. The house is extremely roomy and stocked with everything you could need. The location on the lake couldn’t be better easy access to fishing. Great fire pit with beautiful views!

We had 4 wonderful, relaxing days together with brother and sister-in-law. Even the 1 stormy day was super. We're ocean lovers and watching the lake roar that day was truly great. We pretended that we were at the shore!! the cottage is delightful: fantastic kitchen - had everything we could imagine; mattresses and pillows perfect with sheets like silk; porch was perfect for evening cocktails and snacks; location is so very convenient to wineries and good restaurants.
