Sijainti n. kilometrin päässä lähimmistä rinteistä oli meille sopiva. Autolla liikkuminen alueella oli vaivatonta, ja autokatos oli hieno ja helpottava lisä! Ei tarvinnut puhdistaa lumia auton päältä liikkeelle lähtiessä. Rauhallinen mökkikylän alue tarjosi myös nopean pääsyn hiihtoladuille, jotka kulkivat aivan terassin alla.
Mökki oli kuviaan parempi ja tilavampi. Kuvat eivät tehneet oikeutta komealle kelohirsimökille, joten saapuessa paikalle olimme iloisesti yllättyneitä. Mökki oli myös kuvaustaan paremmin varusteltu. Etenkin keittiön varustelu ansaitsee kiitoksen, sillä kattiloita, pannuja, kulhoja, laseja, veitsiä... kaikkea oli riittävästi ja enemmänkin.
Kuuden hengen ruokapöydän äärellä mahtui istumaan iltaa ja pelaamaan korttia. Viihdyimme muutoinkin hyvin mökissä kokkaillen ja nautiskellen lomasta.
Makuuhuoneiden lattialämmitys oli talvella omaan makuun hieman liian kuumalla. Olemme tottuneet nukkumaan melko viileässä. Tuulettamalla siitä kuitenkin selvisi hyvin.
Saunan kiuas oli melko hidas lämpiämään, mutta ensimmäisen lämmityskerran jälkeen tähän osasi varautua.

The lodge is absolutely beautiful - it looked even better than the photos. The view from the front room was incredible, and the view of snowy trees from the bedroom window was also stunning!
The location was ideal for us. It was very close to the XC ski track (and you could actually ski down to it using the little track to the side of the lodge, or just down the road). It was a 15 minute walk into Ruka valley side which was great still being close but not in the hustle and bustle.
Great spot for seeing the northern lights, and can you walk down the XC ski track for an even better view within a couple of minutes (make sure you’re on the intended footpath part and not ruining the ski tracks!)
The owner was extremely helpful and responsive, we ran out of wood one morning and within a few hours more wood had been delivered.
The lodge was so beautiful we had to drag ourselves out everyday. We will be back!
