Situated on Samish Bay, this waterfront property offers 180 degrees of breathtaking and unobstructed bay views, with the islands and Mt. Baker in the background. Perhaps even more mesmerizing than the scenery are the gorgeous sunsets - the San Juan Islands beautifully frame the sun as it disappears into the water. Spend your days outdoors boating, swimming, crabbing, or kayaking, all right outside your front door! When the tide goes out, look forward to watching Great Blue Herons hunting in the tide flats. And inside, prepare meals in the well-equipped, full kitchen or grill up your favorites on the gas barbecue.
If you're in the mood for seafood, you've come to the right place! Samish Bay is a great natural producer of shellfish. After an eventful day outdoors, drive five miles to the quaint and trendy town of Edison to enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants. You'll also be conveniently close to local berry fields, as well as the Chuckanut Scenic Highway, an iconic route that offers stunning coastal views. Explore the area further by venturing 16 miles to La Conner, where you'll find great restaurants, charming shops, and exciting events, such as the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Very nice beach front home on Samish Island. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable sleeping and living arrangements. Nice sheets and towels. And Very Clean! I would definitely return.

While the house was nice and just as it looked in the pictures, the neighbors were not fun to deal with. Vacasa didn't mention until a few days before check in that the large grassy area shown in the photos in front and on the side of the house, were not private spaces but rather public access for the neighboring houses. Had there not been a burn ban on during our stay there, we would have had neighbors in front of the house each night at their fire pits which were very close to the house. The neighborhood watch was on top of us the minute we pulled onto the gravel road leading to the house - we hadn't even parked yet when he came out to instruct us where to go which was not where the book or vacasa instructed us to park. We were happy to park wherever he wanted us to and understand how hard it must be to live there full time and deal with short term renters coming and going. They also gave us a hard time about launching our small boat. When we booked the house it said there was a boat launch available as well as buoy to tie up to. Then when we read through the book at the house - that part was crossed out and a handwritten note said we shouldn't use the launch (which is literally right next to the house) but should instead find somewhere else to put in our boat. Seriously!!! Lets be honest upfront and not advertise something that isn't available. After giving us a hard time about the boat, one of the neighbors came back a short while later and offered to help us launch it which was very nice and much appreciated. So while we made the most of our time there, enjoyed the time with our family and watching the herons at low tide, crabbing and flying kites - you should be aware when booking this house that it's not private, parking is very limited, and unless you are there to stay inside, you will be watched by the neighbors the entire time. Some are very kind and helpful, some not so much!
