The location was perfect for us, just a short drive to Haltwhistle where we used the buses to follow Hadrians wall and trips into Newcastle and Carlisle
Everything we needed was at the property including a log burner which we used daily as the weather was a bit variable and a very comfortable bed with en-suite facilities,in fact both bedrooms had their own shower etc which makes this perfect for two couples
Delicious shortbread was waiting for us we got there and was much appreciated with a cup of tea!
Wonderful hosts who live next door were available if you have a query or need more wood and coal etc,a lovely place to appreciate the dawn chorus,if you want a place to appreciate your surroundings and ‘destress’ this could be for you

Clean, spacious and totally charming. It had all we needed and more, with nice touches like a bouquet of fresh picked wildflowers, a wood fire, and fresh baked short bread.
Bed was rather hard.

Lovely and clean, the log fire was amazing my kids loved it. Cosy and quiet, just what you need from a hectic life
