My total respect and delight with the owner and this place. The treatment is grounded, respectful and wholesome. The location is close to the city centre and the price is beyond fair.
I loved to see the care and community in every corner. Other guests are regulars and care greatly about the owner and the place. Something that only shows further reasons why this is a good place.
It had all I needed and more.
Room with space and its own lock, wardrobe, TV, heating, comfortable bed with linen bedsheets, etc. It exceeded my expectations.
To some it may not be ideal to share the bathroom (that was my option).

Close to town, easy reach of both train and bus stations . Friendly staff. Although I didn’t have breakfast this stay, breakfast is always amazing. Always have tea/coffee/milk/fridge/microwave which makes life easier. I was “upgraded” this visit which was lovely and unexpected.
Nothing bad really to report. Didn’t sleep well but that could have been down to dreams and not the bed

A nice young chap helped to carry my bag to the room. Pleasantly surprised that the room had a small refrigerator, microwave, dishes and cutlery. It was nice to be able to open the window. I also appreciated that there was more than one roll of tp in the loo room.
The front of the guest house and the room I stayed in are quite dilapidated. The place could seriously do with some repair and redecorating. (It requires more than a lick of paint). It was hard to tell if the room was clean, as it sort of gave the impression of an icky feel. Perhaps it was clean but because there are so many worn out surfaces, with a scrungey, squeaky floor, it was hard to tell. The bathroom sink seriously needed unblocking. The bed was saggy, squeaked a lot and very uncomfortable. The only consolation was that I did not book more than a two-night stay.
