About this cabin rental

Centrally located for all the Hocking Hills parks or enjoy our property with your group for year-round nature loving . . .this is a great location for all the activities you want to experience.

Deer, turkeys, coyotes, foxes, rabbits, frogs, snakes, many birds, and pheasants have all been spotted on our property. If you want to explore our acreage, note that the path up the large hill behind the home at the lower house is NOT paved and can have deep crevices, wear hiking boots or sturdy shoes. There may be high grass so prepare for that and dress accordingly. During spring and summer the natural brush/grass and wet weather cause quick growth and mowing does occur on a semi-regular rotation, however, it is a "rough" path. Feel free to explore and get lost in nature while there.

The 2-bedroom cabin with 1.5 baths offers a tranquil setting in the woods and a place to make the memories you'll cherish for years to come. This home is in the woods up a gravel driveway that is hilly. You should plan to have an all-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive vehicle if visiting during snowy or rainy weather, you can park OUTSIDE the garage and you’ll enter through the garage door. There are stairs after you enter the garage to get to the living space.

Dogs are permitted with an additional fee per dog ($50/per) and prior arrangement. If your animal is a service animal as defined by the ADA, we will need documentation provided to waive the pet fee.

No smoking (of any kind) inside the home. If you choose to smoke outside of the home, please remember to be sure the ashes are extinguished and properly dispose of ALL debris.

The cabin was very spacious. We spent Thanksgiving weekend there and hauled everything to the cabin, including a roaster and all our food and equipment. We had two dogs and four adults and we weren't tripping over each other. Once we figured out the thermostat, it was nice and cozy. The air hockey table offered some fun family entertainment. There his a motion light in the basement/garage area and it came on a few times when no one was down there. There was also the sound of putter patter feet racing across the ceiling in the downstairs bedroom and living room. We never saw any sign of rodents, and having lived in the country, it really didn't bother us. The house was really clean considering they allow dogs. My nephew wants to return.

It's an enjoyable rustic experience in the middle of the woods. The host communicated well and was very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

This property was close to the state park of Hocking Hills which allowed access to all the attractions with ease. The property is pet friendly, so for those traveling with pets it is a nice perk. Spent a good amount of time playing pool and watching tv in the main living area, which was very muched enjoyed. The stars at night were spectacular on this property, it was amazing. Now why i gave this property a 4 star was for a few reasons. The first was my family found the beds very uncomfortable, my spouse and I slept on the couch for the nights we were there. There were random men on the property when we returned one day, said they were working on the property and the owner was aware. Random light downstairs would turn on from time to time, think it was in the second garage. Only 5 towels for my family of 5 were provided for the whole 6 day stay, which was out of the normal for us. Overall, this was a nice property to stay at but there were things the owner could do to improve future stays.

The location was great and the property is absolutely beautiful! We caught peak fall colors, it was lovely. The things I really loved about the cabin: - having toddlers with us, I really appreciated that there’s a gate for the stairs with a lock that they couldn’t reach. Made us feel comfortable relaxing without hovering over the kids. - kitchen was great, had anything we needed. - wildlife and woods on the property - nice location - cute cabin Things we didn’t love: - LOTS of bugs. I’m not sure if it was something more than typical for this cabin, but it felt like it had to be. The instructions clearly stated not to reach out because of bugs, so we didn’t, but there were a lot. We found wasps everywhere- including in our bed. My husband woke up in the middle of the night with one crawling in his hair. Lots of stink bugs (we didn’t mind those nearly as much as the wasps!). The wasps were all crawling instead of flying, which I assume was either because of the cold or a bug spray outside the house, but that almost made it worse because we had kids that we worried about touching them. My three year old got stung and had a rash all weekend. I’m totally understanding of nature but it did feel like there has to be a way for that to be better.
