About this house rental
Idyllic position, overlooking Monte Oliveto abbey, with uninterrupted views. Stylish interiors blending modern/antique furnishings with ancient architecture. Outdoor pool with separate pool house (April-October only).
Idyllic position, overlooking Monte Oliveto Maggiore abbey, with uninterrupted views that haven't changed for 400 years. The charming medieval village of Chiusure is a short drive. The Val d'Orcia is rightly one of the two most popular tourism destinations in Tuscany for both visitors from abroad and Italians visiting Tuscany. It's characterised by rounded hills, dense vineyards, olive groves and woods. Hill towns, thermal springs, Etruscan remains and nature reserves are all nearby. Sienna, Montepulciano and Montalcino are all around half an hour's drive. Lake Trasimeno, the largest lake in central and southern Italy is a 45 minute drive. The coast is less than a two hour drive.
A car is necessary. Nearest airport is Perugia, which is an hour away. Others: Florence is 90 minutes. Pisa just under two hours.
VILLA
The ground floor of the main house, is an enormous open plan living and dining space with a large modern kitchen. There are three large bedrooms and two bathrooms on the first floor; two beautiful doubles, which share a bathroom, and a large family room with a double and two singles. The main bathroom is opposite. The master bedroom is accessed from the side of the house and is a beautiful large light filled room on two levels, with sitting area and en-suite bathroom (it can also be accessed via the family room - it is the other side of a small entrance hall and on another level, so there is no issue with privacy).
POOL HOUSE ANNEXE
The rustic pool house has double bedroom with an additional single bed and a further small room with two small single beds (suitable for teenagers/children) and shower room/wc. Do bear in mind that it's comfortable but quite rustic though. There are fans, but it can be a very warm. The pool house is not suitable for sleeping in the months of November - March.
There is a large outdoor dining area next to the house and another, near the pool, overlooks the abbey.
There is a trampoline in the gardens.
Four bikes are available.
