I was attending a conference in Reading, and the property was a comfortable walking distance from the University. There are shops nearby, it is a spacious property. The workflow with checking in and out was easy. It was comfortable with all the promised amenities. Most of the content seemed brand new.
It was a good option and I was fully satisfied. For some reason, they were enthusiatic on using scented cleaning products more than was perhaps necessary.

The flat had everything we needed….. and more. The starter pack was greatly appreciated, although we didn’t use it!
It was greatly value for money compared to a single hotel room for a similar price, over the Christmas period.
We also really appreciated the peace and quiet of the area and that it had a parking space!
It was a struggle to get a suitcase up the 2nd flight of stairs, as it is really narrow! (Much easier on the way down!!😂)
We would have appreciated some warmth in the flat when we arrived, having been asked for our arrival time - it was absolutely Baltic on arrival, with 2 windows left open. Thankfully it did warm up quite quickly.
We were surprised to be expected to take our own rubbish down, in a serviced apartment…..!

The apartment was well kitted out with pretty much everything you needed for the stay - good value for money on that level i would say.
The flat itself was actually good value for the price I paid, and I had no issues with the space. However, the management firm handling the booking made the stay more stressful than it needed to be. There were a lot of hoops to jump through — ID checks, deposits, and various admin steps — and at times it felt like I was doing work for them rather than just checking in.
Parking was also confusing. I was given “space 4” even though only spaces 1–3 existed, and the manager later called me to ask which space they’d told me to use.
I also wasn’t thrilled about paying £40 for cleaning and then receiving a list of mandatory tasks before checking out, including emptying the bins, especially since I didn’t use the kitchen.
Not the host’s fault, but there were very loud students outside during my stay, which made it a bit noisy.
Finally, the bed wasn’t very comfortable for me and the pillows didn’t suit me either.
