About this house rental
Long View is exceptional in it's location and in it's presentation.
Built to enhance comfort throughout, with a large social area in the open plan kitchen/living/ dining area, a great layout for entertaining.
2 king bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom ( 2 single beds). 3 shower rooms.
A study with spectacular views is located in the middle of the upstairs of the house. A fairly unique feature in a holiday home.
Fully functional kitchen.
Incredible views from every room looking out over the 3 islands to the west of Waternish and further.
The property is in a dark skies area,so star gazing when the weather is clear is awe inspiring.
A real treat, not to be missed.

Our group had a consensus that this is absolutely the most gorgeous place any of us have ever stayed. Comfortable and modern, yet entwined timelessly with the land, everything was thoughtfully and beautifully arranged..an aesthetic masterpiece. We never wanted to leave! Hope to stay for far longer next time.

We had a great trip to Scotland, but our experience with this rental could have been much better. We initially booked a separate rental owned by this owner. However, a few weeks after our booking was confirmed we were notified that it was being canceled because the owner wished to use the property for our dates. We were offered this property as an alternative. It was disappointing that this happened. We were told that the rate would be matched, but we ended up being accidentally charged a higher rate for this property that we were rebooked with. We were refunded but due to the exchange rate, we ended up not receiving the full amount we paid. I understand the owner does not have control over exchange rates but after the disappointment of being rebooked this added further frustration to the process. As for the property itself — it has outstanding views. The house is very modern and updated. However, upon checkin we noticed not all of the toilets were cleaned. There was also a food stain in the refrigerator. We also noticed oil dripping from the vent fan over the stovetop. This would be a perfect property if it were better maintained. Part of being able to relax on vacation is feeling you are in a clean place. We did not get this feeling while there. I notified the owner of this the evening we checked in but did not hear back until two days later. We very much enjoyed the views, we will rebook elsewhere when we return to Skye.
