The property is in a quiet village, so be prepared to travel to shops - Stafford is about 15 mins away. A local service station does supply some basic groceries. The beds were exceptionally confortable and the whole house house is decorated beautifully.. We felt totally at home. Our stay was during a very wet february, but the house was comfortabley warm except the bathroom. The kitchen had more than enough equipment for a family to to be able to prepare meals. Stephanie was a very reactive host when we had some issues regarding the television and the level of cleaning by a third party company. Stephanie came the next day to correct the issues, and we were extremely grateful. We found two pubs in the village, but didnt get the chance to try them out. The instructions sent to access the house, do the bins and the final clean were clear and easy to follow thanks to Stephanie. There are dozens of lovely places to visit on the Chase and in the area. If Alton Towers had been open, we would have been there for sure. In fact this is a great house to use for that very reason.
The level of heating in the bathroom meant it was always cold even with the towel heater on full blast. it helped a little when we left all the downstairs doors open for the heat to travel through from the principal room. The toaster is small and well used - it needs replacing in our opinion - maybe upgrade to a four slice toaster. TV and internet - From day one we struggled with the TV and its operations. In the end we were being asked for emails and passwords so we gave up using it. I would advise a reset and leave instructions on how to use the system. The internet connection was great, but would not accept our netflix or prime account as a VPN was identified. Parking is in the street, its very choatic, and you may not be able to park outside or near the property.

Will sound picky but could do with a toilet upstairs due to how steep the stairs are and navigating them at night

Well located, comfortable beds and was very clean.
Twin room access stairs very steep and narrow. Hard to seat 4 people round the breakfast bar. We were a family of 5 and felt the house was too small, house better suited for a couple.
