Vick is nice, like everyone says, but there are some things that should be known for potential guests. The photos make it look more elegant than it is. It's a basic pension, but the walls and floors, kinda need some clean up and attention. My room was room 8, nice enough size, but the windows didn't close and it was early Dec and I wore my scarf, along with sweaters, leggings and socks to bed, along with 2 blankets and was still pretty cold. Spent the night before in another place and was fine, same temp as my night at Vick's.
Bathroom drain smelled very strongly of mold and sewage. Once I put the cover on the shower, it mellowed out after a bit, but I've spent many months in Mex and that was one of the worst smelling drains that I've encountered. Mentioned above,windows don't close, had to get internet code from another guest, no one is really there after they give you the key, chat a bit and leave. They will respond to issues, but no official person is there on site. So, next to my room at night was a water pump, I believe, that would run loudly, (like an ice machine) for about 15 minutes out of every hour while people were up, but stopped after midnight. Sorry, but one more issue. I usually take the bus in Mex, but splurged and got a rental car. I asked about parking, cause there is none in front. The garages nearby don't service tourists overnight, they were only for nearby employees, so I had to park and walk about 1/2 a mile to park in another neighborhood. Vick met me later to unload, but offered really no help in the parking situation. It has to have come up before, no parking, right?
