The lodge was warm and cosy, the kitchen was very handy, the beds were fairly comfortable and the shower was nice and hot and powerful.
The toilet was not very clean, the tiles in the shower needed a good scub and there was a few cobwebs in the bathroom but it was that bad that i didnt want to use it it just needed a better clean.

Bonus feeding of kites in the yard in the morning. Spectacular. Nice to have some water and tea.
Bedside lamp lighting was quite low, check-out was a bit early for us but it was fine to leave a few minutes after 10 in the end

Everything needed was there. Convenient car parking. Appropriate for the cost. Host very friendly and informative on phone. Good location for our purposes.
Hard floor felt gritty when barefoot. Two ceiling lights not working. Bedside light not working. Longstanding cobweb in bathroom..
Overriding issue - Bed very uncomfortable and unforgiving for us both - checked out early - very poor night’s sleep.
