Royal Oak

Location, number of rooms and beds and size was perfect. Stocked kitchen for what we needed. Linen, towels and soap/cleaning things all provided.

Run by Sykes Cottages (a management company) that are really poor communicators, almost impossible to get to speak to someone and when I did they were rude. The webaite aelf service disnt work, no response to emails and live chat, had an hour on hold om the phone to ask for the cot and high chair (which is in the propety insruxtions to ask for in advance). Was assured there was a baby cot provided - on arrival it took a long time to find it to begin with, then it was actually broken so couldn't be used. Could have been cleaner - I gave kitchen surfaces and table a wipe down, and outside chairs (which were packed inside in storage) and table clean down. The arrival instructions were sent automatically after booking - months ago. Lock box access so not very secure - I could have turned up at any time and got access to the property.

Lovely property, warm, cosy and comfortable. Good space downstairs for our family group of 8.

Small dishwasher- 8 people meant running it often

It was easy to collect the keys but just ensure you call for the key code number before you get to the property as the phone signal isn't great. We had to drive away from the property to until we got a signal and then drove back. This isn't a criticism.
