Villa Alsoneiro offers a lovely setting for a relaxing holiday in Western Crete and is located walking distance from the local village of Plaka and 15-20 mins walk from the seaside town of Almerida. The villa provides comfortable accommodation for 6 people and includes fitted kitchen and much more. The double balcony offers a breathtaking view of Souda Bay where you can often see the ferries coming and going from the other Greek Islands. To the right the contrasting mountain scenery finishes off the panoramic views of the surrounding area, if you can drag yourself away from the view, the large private patio downstairs is an ideal place to enjoy a family BBQ or simply relax in the sun, using the loungers provided. The garden features a variety of local plants including various herbs which create a lovely aroma as the sun goes down. Furnished to a high standard the Villa offers a comfortable stay for visitors of all ages and includes air-conditioning throughout.
The Villa is part of a small complex of 5 properties all facing the breathtaking views of Souda Bay. The pool is the central point and is an ideal spot to share a drink with your neighbors should you wish. However, the various areas around the Villa itself offer space to relax in private. The Garden next to the Patio area is a good spot for taking in the sunshine using the sunbeds.
Entrance to the area is via a gate which ensures that there will be no passing visitors to the pool or public areas around the pool area.
A Car park is provided.
Its hard to describe in words the tranquility and sense of calm experienced from the location of the Villa and each window offers a different view.
The Villa offers spacious 2 bedroom villa with a Double Balcony overlooking beautiful Souda Bay, It is walking distance to the village of Plaka with its various Tavernas and Minimarket. The Beach of Almerida is a 5 min drive (20 min walk) where you will find a sandy beach & shallow bay. Villa Alsoneiro has a fully fitted kitchen with washing machine and dish washer. The Lounge area has a comfortable double sofa bed, a dining table and TV / DVD. There is Aircon throughout. The Pool is to the front of the Villa.

We stayed for 14 days with our two sons (8 & 13 yo) starting the 1st week of the Aug-2025.The Villa is really nice, has a splendid view and like other guests have mentioned in the reviews is high up in the hills so i do advise planning for a car. The villa is very well equipped (dishwasher is a plus in Crete) and we were also lucky to have the swimming pool for ourselves since no other people were in the other villas that the pool is shared among. Also 3 x AC equipment are present in the residence and these make a big difference when facing summer temperatures.Toril (the host) is very attentive and helpful to the point you'll fin a lot of local info within a folder kept at the villa. She was flexible and kind enough as to allow us to check out a bit later as our flight was late at night.Overall we would 100% recommend Villa Alsoneiro and would stay again there.

Lovely villa in a great location, which we knew having stayed next door in 2018. Great pool, which we pretty much had to ourselves. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Towels including pool towels were included. Lovely choices of garden areas, depending on whether you wanted sun or shade. Fabulous views and sunsets over Souda bay. 15 minute walk to Plaka village. Some lovely tavernas (especially Takis) with plenty of choice for food and drink. If you want to burn off some calories, walk back via the The Hill (Cardiac Hill as we call it). Beautiful beach, Almyrida, 5 mins by car/30 min walk. Great communication with the owner before and during our stay. Thoroughly recommend this villa and area.

Très bonne expérience avec cette location.
Très bien située, au calme, super vue.
Différentes terrasses et balcons. Logement bien équipé. Rien à redire. Il y a des tavernes et magasins de qualité au village même, ou à 20 min à pied, à Almerida, en bord de mer. Cela fait une jolie balade le matin.

Die Anzeige verspricht genau das was man bekommt. Wir waren sehr positiv überrascht von diesem tollem Ferienhaus.
Wir waren 2 Wochen im August zu 5. und hatten einen wunderbaren Urlaub! Der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist der Wahnsinn! Toller sauberer Pool! Als wir da waren hatten wir Ihn fast für uns alleine. Küche komplett ausgestattet und sonst auch wirklich alles super!
