About this cottage rental
This historic building is a circular building with 1.50 m thick walls. The origins of this former brick kiln can be traced back to the Etruscans, i.e. around 2500 years ago. The fornace (= blast furnace) was rebuilt and used in the Middle Ages, then abandoned and reused in the years 1870-1939 until the clay was exhausted. Then he was forgotten again until we brought this ruin back to life in 2004 and transformed it into an enchanting, picturesque, 45 square meter house. This small house stands alone with a distance to the main house, surrounded by approx. 1000 sqm garden with shady trees and is therefore an ideal retreat for 2-4 people who are looking for peace, relaxation + a special atmosphere. Distribution: From a French window you enter the small. Living area, from there access to the bathroom and next to it the kitchenette, via stairs you go up to a gallery, into the open bedroom with a comfortable double bed. In a small wooden house right next to it is the children's room with 2 single beds.
Surrounded by a well-tended park (approx. 5000sqm) with old trees, which in turn is framed by 50,000sqm olive grove, is this picturesque, completely restored natural stone house from the 19th Century, in which there are three charming apartments (Primo, Secondo and terzo) and a little away from the main house two picturesque individual houses, the Etrusco and the Casetta Olivera. All apartments have separate entrances and direct access from the living room to the romantic garden, their own outside seating, garden furniture and loungers, fly screens and fans. The oval pool 10 x 5 m is not missing, of course, surrounded by a Mediterranean palm garden. A large sand playground with climbing and rocking equipment is available. Other positive things: satellite TV, WiFi, washing machine, organic. Olive oil and wine (in-house production), bread service, our legendary Tuscan evening with 4-course menu on request, a Christmas tree is available in winter, dogs are welcome, massages from our physiotherapist once a week (by appointment).
We speak German, Italian, English.
How to get there: You come on the motorway from the north, past Pisa + Livorno, always in the direction of Rome-Grosseto. The motorway ends in Rosigniano Marittimo (toll booth). From there take the SS1 (expressway) towards Grosseto until the Gavorrano scalo exit. Please do not turn towards Gavorrano and Bagno di Gavorrano before! Now head towards Ravi. On country road (old Aurelia SS1) approx. Drive 7 km, then you will come to the Bivio Ravi town sign, shortly after there will be a roundabout, do not turn here to Ravi, which is on top of a mountain, but 1 km further straight towards Grosseto, here the 2nd on the right Turn off to Ravi. Then drive exactly 1300m on this small, rising road until a gravel road comes to the left. Please turn here, after about 50m you will see the entrance to La Fornace on the left. At last! Welcome.
To come to us there is also the possibility to fly, e.g. B. to Pisa or Rome with TUIfly, Ryanair, Easyjet etc. and to take a rental car in Pisa or Rome
Culture: There is so much for art and culture enthusiasts that a vacation is certainly not enough to have seen everything. Since we are right in the center of the ancient Etruscan culture, it is not far to excavations, ancient sites, e.g. B. Vetulonia, Populonia, Roselle, Vulci, Tarquinia etc. Of course, the dream cities of Massa Marrittima, Siena, Florence and your museums should not be forgotten. Even the beautiful city of Rome can be visited for a day trip from here. Those who indulge in sports and leisure activities will certainly get their money's worth here. In 15-20 minutes you are right on our beautiful coast with miles of wide sandy beaches, such as those found in Castiglione della Pescaia and Punta Ala, romantic bathing bays, picturesque small coastal towns, with a wide range of sports and a funky nightlife. Anyone who still wants to dine like 'God in Italy' and taste our excellent wine will find everything here, from the small trattorie to the gourmet temple, that makes a gourmet's heart beat faster.

Fijne rustig gelegen vakantiewoning, smaakvol ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien, in een prachtige omgeving.

Wir haben die Woche in dem Ferienobjekt sehr genossen, vor allem die Ruhe, Naturnähe, Service und Gastfreundschaft. Es fehlte uns an nichts und einige von den wertvollen Tipps der Gastgeberin haben wir ausprobiert. Einfach nur ein toller Urlaub. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an Bernice und Emiliano

Das Häuschen und die Umgebung waren genauso wie sie beschrieben waren / sind. Die Vermieter sind sehr herzliche und sympatische Menschen die sehr zugänglich sind. Wir haben dort 2 sehr schöne Wochen verbracht, und das nicht zum letzten Mal. ;-)

Ein sehr schönes und gut gepflegtes Häuschen! Sehr ruhige Lage - dennoch ist man schnell in der Stadt Grosetto, schnell am Meer und zu vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Toskana hat man es auch nicht weit!
Wirklich netter Kontakt zum Vermieter, der in der Nachbarschaft wohnt und für einen prima Brötchenservice sorgt. ( an die Hunde muß man sich gewöhnen - sind ganz lieb - bellen aber gerne)
Der Pool ist, wie die restliche Gartenanlage sehr schön, sauber und man spürt das viel Liebe und Mühe in allem steckt.
Wir hatten eine tolle Woche und können die Ferienhäuschen von Bernice prima weiterempfehlen!
