Mama O Chai Koh Tao

Mama O'Chai exceeded my expectations! Sure, the bungalows are rustic and basic... but I was impressed by the hot showers, working fridge, good internet, and provided kettle, cups, bowl, plate, cutlery and coffee.... I used it all! Even though I just got a standard bungalow with fan, I was in the second row behind the beachfront ones and had a great view of the beach from my balcony (bungalow 21). The beach out front is beautiful and there's great snorkeling around the rocks at the north end of the beach, swimmable from right in front of the bungalow. 5 min walk down the beach to "town" and everything you need.

There happened to be a very loud concert right behind the property on my first night there, but this isn't common and not the properties fault.

Location is amazing, right on a beautiful beach, and only few minutes walk from the main streets (3-4 mins on the beach or via the road) The manager is super nice, friendly and helped us with all we needed to book The staff is super reactive, my room had trouble locking from the inside they came immediately and fixed it and then it worked perfectly The rooms are a little old but it was clean, aircon works well, had hot water

The WiFi did not work for me, but as I had unlimited 4g I did jot bother to go ask so maybe it was working 😊

Good location from the Sairee 7/11 , food , drinks and massages. Beach front. Small little terrace.

I stayed in B5 the last row. “ with some sea views “ The room was full full of mosquitoes , so much so that I need to buy the mosquito electric bat.
