Apartment AK1 is a spacious and truly eclectic 4-bedroom, 4-bath apartment in a 1930s Bauhaus building in central Athens. Located on the 4th floor and accessible via a charming vintage lift, AK1 blends character, history, and style.
The apartment features four uniquely styled bedrooms — two king, one queen, and one bunk bed — along with four bathrooms, three of which are en suite. It has a compact, fully equipped kitchen with a lovely dining area. The living room also features a smart TV, so guests can stream using their own accounts.
The vintage lift, dating back to 1937, accommodates two guests and two bags — a little piece of Athens’ past.
AK1 is just a few minutes’ walk from Omonia Square and the Omonia Metro Station, placing you in the heart of one of Athens’ most vibrant neighborhoods. From here, you’re only 20 minutes on foot from Monastiraki Square and historic Plaka, 15 minutes from the lively, street-art-filled Psirri, and 15 minutes from the National Archaeological Museum.
With traditional bakeries, the famous Varvakios Agora, and the National Theatre of Greece nearby, AK1 is the perfect base for exploring Athens like a local.

Early check-in and late check-out are possible depending on availability. Standard times are 3:00 PM check-in and 11:00 AM check-out.

For arrivals after 21:00, we recommend pre-booking our trusted taxi service. Payment is made directly to the driver, who will also check you in at no extra charge. If you arrive on your own, a staff member will meet you and a €20 late check-in fee applies.

Lovely, charming apartment. Jacob was super helpful and accommodating. Somewhat noisy outside being on a busy street. Close to the metro. Hot water needs to be turned on 20 minutes prior to showering and gets much hotter than in the US which was my only concern as the kids nearly scalded themselves. Otherwise our stay was perfect and would definitely book there again.

My family and I were on a cruise and wanted to stay an extra few days in Athens. We booked this last minute and the property manager let us check in early. They met us at the house and went over everything with us. We all fell in love with the house. It was different from what we're use to in America, but it was charming and we couldn't stop looking at all the details. Definitely would stay again if I ever make it back to Greece.
