About this house rental
Tastefully furnished, this spacious modern property on the edge of Chagny straddles the border of the Cote de Beaune and the Cote Chalonais. In a secluded road overlooking and surrounded by vineyards but only 15 minutes walk from the town centre, it boasts a mature, well maintained garden behind electric gates, heated pool with pool house and 3 bedrooms. The accommodation can be extended to sleep 10 with a double sofa bed in the study area and a self contained apartment reached through the garage, although an extra charge is made for these. There is parking for at least 3 cars.
The main features of this beautiful house include:
A large, south facing frontage, terraced along its entire length with seating under an electric awning, opening into a central entrance hall with cloakroom
An enormous and comfortably appointed lounge and dining room with picture windows on 3 sides, a typical Burgundian open fireplace and TV with satellite reception
A well equipped and stocked kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and other appliances together with a vast array of utensils and equipment. It opens onto a small terrace with gas barbeque and retractable awning.
A separate laundry room with washing machine, dryer and clothes airer
There are 3 bedrooms, two with king size beds and one twin, which can be converted to a third double on request. Each is well equipped with storage and hanging space. Whilst none of these bedrooms have en-suite arrangements, there are two family bathrooms, each with shower, WC and sink unit and one with a bath. Hairdryers are supplied.
A separate study can be converted into a fourth double bedroom by use of a high quality sofa bed.
Stairs lead down from the hall to the garage and the self contained studio apartment with small kitchen and fully equipped bathroom. Ideal for grandparents or older children!
The heated pool lies to the rear of the property. Surrounded by a sunny terrace, this area also boasts a pool house which includes a fully fitted summer kitchen with Bose speaker and another gas barbeque, together with dining table and chairs, comfortable seating and loungers. Pool towels are provided.
The property benefits from central heating and WIFI throughout.
A welcome pack is provided on arrival and bed linen, towels and WIFI are included in the price. For stays of longer than 9 nights, a complimentary mid-stay clean and linen change is also offered. Cots and high chairs are available on request.
Chagny is a small market town but is well known for its excellent Sunday morning market, which is considered to be one of the finest in the area. There are a number of very good bars and restaurants, including Lameloise which is Michelin starred. It lies an easy 20 minute drive from Beaune and you can be in Meursault or Puligny Montrachet in under 15 minutes.

Excellent gîte!
La piscine était très agréable, le gîte impeccable. Il manque des rideaux dans les chambres et quelques jeux pour les enfants. Mais nous avons passés un excellent séjour.

This is a perfect house/villa for a family stay in Burgundy. Large pool and garden and close to all the hotspots like Meursault, Beaune and even Dijon. The caretakers are excellent and make you feel very welcome. Beds are made like a hotel and plenty of towels. Nice welcone pack with coffee, tea milk and a cremant de bourgogne. Highly recommended!

We were there with our three children. It’s a perfect place if you want to stay in Burgundy and make day trips in the region. The check-in was perfectly organized. The house had everything we needed. The kids loved the pool. Chagny is also a nice town, especially the market on Sunday.
