About this house rental
The Fereinhaus is located just outside the picturesque Carona in a very quiet location high above Lake Lugano and is also very suitable for families. There are two bedrooms and a children's room with 2 bunk beds. In total there is space between 2 - 8 people. In the immediate vicinity you will find restaurants, a swimming pool and a tennis court. Hikers in particular get their money's worth here; numerous hiking trails lead into the unique mountain landscape.

Our 2nd visit to La Vendemmia - we love it here. It's such a perfect spot - incredible view and plenty of walking and cycling on the doorstep. People in Carona are so friendly and welcoming. We hope to visit again. Thanks Bergith!

We had a wonderful stay in “La Vendemia.” The house was perfect for my family (my wife and I, our three teenagers, and my wife's parents).
We have visited many parts of Switzerland over the last twenty years and La Vendemia will stand out among all of our trips for the amazing view from its patio and the bedroom balcony. It is amazing from sunrise until late at night. (The picture of the view that the owner has posted doesn't actually capture how nice the view is.)
In terms of basics, the house had everything we needed (including a dishwasher and washing machine). Internet was fine, but not spectacular. There is a nice-sized yard and you have lots of privacy. There is parking space for at least three cars, and the bus stop in Carona is not too far away by foot.
The house is about a 3-5 minute walk from the center of the small town of Carona. This town is charming: it has narrow passageways to walk through, several restaurants, and old churches. You can also walk a little bit further to the beautiful Parco San Grato. A longer hike up to the top of San Salvatore is possible. It can be a little steep and rugged, but my 83 year-old father-in-law made the journey there and back just fine. A longer walk to Morcote is also possible.
The owner was responsive to messages and proactive in reaching out to us.
All in all, I highly recommend this house if you are looking for a relaxing place to spend some time.
