About this house rental
Pretty detached house located in the very center in a pedestrian area with all the nearby landscape beauties: museums, churches and rock churches, Tramontano castle etc ... From the windows and from the balcony you can admire a splendid view of the Barisano stone. Also in the immediate vicinity you can take advantage of restaurants, craft shops etc ... Well connected to public transport which are only 500m away.

Matera was our first stop on our Italy Trip. This property is spacious, well located in the center with spectacular views across the old town.
Parking is near by, we paid 25 euros for each 24 hours, so 50 euros total, which was easy walk with case and no steps, which was ideal for us.
Restaurant right next door done a fantastic breakfast and lunch salad which was reasonably priced.
There are lots of places to eat around Matera so eating out was not a problem.
Most attractions, cave house & underground water storage caves are 3 to 5 euros each and worth a visit.
House had air conditioning in bedroom and lounge area which was a welcome break in August.
Washing machine was also a great addition allowing us to catch up on a few items before moving on to next location.
Overall 9/10.
The 9 is because there is no area to sit outside, but with its location at matera center, it’s not unexpected.

The apartment was fantastic, just as advertised. The location is amazing as well, just a few steps away from the main piazza. Views from the windows of the apartment look down on the Sassi. Great apartment at an affordable price!

What a great place to stay! We loved being able to walk to all the points of interest in Matera. So many things to see and do! It's a very unique place.
Our host was kind enough to help us organize a walking tour of Matera early in our stay which proved to be a great orientation to Matera.
The apartment was very clean, comfortable, well stocked and very quiet. Everything we needed was close at hand. The rooms matched the photos perfectly. Wi-Fi and Internet service were easy and performed as expected.
Our host, Vittoria was very welcoming and responsive to our requests and made our whole stay in Matera wonderful. Highly recommended. Would stay in this Casa again!

The apartment was super clean and the location is perfect! Restaurants all around and the view over Sassi is one of a kind. Our hosts went above and beyond to let us feel at home. Can’t wait to come back🥰
