Set on a plot of circa 1.5 acres this historic farmhouse provides ample accommodation to house large groups to enjoy the countryside. Steeped in history this property includes the ruins of the 12th century "Church of Smyte" although much of the farmhouse is 18th century red brick. The accommodation is versatile and unique.
The property comprises 4 large bedrooms each with the exception of 1 housing 2 king size beds. 2 bedrooms have there own en-suite with the other 2 sharing a bathroom. Downstairs there is a large living room with a traditional open log fire. There is also a very large kitchen dinning area looking out to open country side views.

This country home has great potential but needs a lot of work to be up to par, particularly for larger parties. There was good space for the 12 people in our party, but again beds and amenities in the rooms and bathrooms could use updating. It's an old home but I've stayed in plenty of old homes that have been updated as best they can. We experienced a roof leak in one of the bedrooms on the first night, and to be fair the property owners responded quickly to get it fixed.
The listing itself needs to be significantly updated with more pictures and descriptions of the property. As of the time of this writing, all bedrooms and spaces in the house are not even pictured. The biggest thing by far that was not disclosed was the daycare right next door to the house, and by next door I mean almost attached. There was child dropoff every morning in our driveway and pickup every afternoon. To be fair again, we had no real issues or conflicts with this situation as we were gone a lot, and the kids were not loud during the day, but none of this was mentioned or disclosed in the listing.
The house needs updating, better cleaning, and better information in their listing, but it really does have huge potential to be a great VRBO property. The grounds are beautiful and very quiet.
