About this castle / palace rental
In the old caretaker's house (135 m²) up to 6 people will find all the comforts for a pleasant holiday throughout the year. The cottages on the property of a Castle, the park and the pool are to share with prospective guests of the bed and breakfast or with the occupants of our other cottages for 2 people.
The Le PORCHE gîte to which you will have exclusivity is composed as follows:
On the ground floor a large living room with sofa and armchairs offers a charming welcome with a seductive view of the park.
North side a well equipped kitchen (hob, extractor, oven, sink, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine) is in front of the dining room from where you have access to the terrace with sunny barbecue until 'At nightfall. Upstairs 3 double bedrooms are waiting for you including 2 bathrooms.
In addition another stay allows you to retire to read, write, do internet research, make music or watch TV.
Central heating, Wifi, no smoking.

Wij hebben gedurende 3 dagen heerlijk genoten van ons verblijf in het appartment “porche”. De kinderen hebben op het grote terrein zich goed geamusseerd. Ze hebbem genoten van het zwembad en de vele dieren die er op het terrein zijn.
Prachtig verbouwd kasteel!

My wife, two kids and nanny all stayed at Chateau Mirandes "Le Porche." It was a wonderful place to stay. Very comfortable and well located between Beaune and Lyon. The grounds are beautifully manicured and the 3 bedroom apartment was well appointed. Nina and Matthias were excellent hosts. They were always happy to give recommendations, make dinner reservations or even invite us over for a glass of wine. After a long day of exploring you can always relax by the pool or walk the grounds. As one of my friends said, it looks like a fairy tale. It kind of was...

We stayed at Chateau Mirande for a week with our two daughters and two of their friends. We all had a great time. The gite is large and well equipped. We felt rights at home, especially because Matthias and Nina were so hospitable. They gave us a lot of good tips to get around in the lovely area of Burgundy. So we kayaked at the Saone, went shopping in Lyon and visited Beaune, Brancion and Cluny. The restaurant they recommended in Macon was very good (the girls wanted to go again!). Also we spend time at the pool in the great garden and did some cycling in the neighbourhood. One week was not enough!!

Physically, Chateau Mirande, set in well maintained gardens, is most attractive having been restored with great care and attention to detail. We stayed in the garden apartment which was ideal for us as we prefer to self-cater. However, it is the gracious and warm hospitality of Nina and Matthias that enhances the beauty of this place. With their guidance, we were able to add such dimension to our stay: every day, we had new and insightful excursions that they detailed for us. We will certainly remember our stay at Chateau Mirande, albeit far too brief and a good reason to return.
