Falkirk Apartments - Queen Street

Once inside the apartment, it was very tastefully decorated and appointed. Particularly liked that there was a washer/dryer, dishwasher and a full sized kitchen as well as a good sized fridge freezer. Despite being right next to the road it was also very quiet.

We had no clue we would be on the first floor with SO many steps up to the front door! We both have some difficulties walking so this was not welcome. The shower was also very small and difficult for anyone with mobility challenges to move in. We were next to a construction site with views of demolition work - none in progress whilst we were there thankfully. Parking was also an issue as there is none adjacent to the property and we had to walk quite a way carrying our luggage. We parked at the harriers which was the best option although not one suggested to us. We did notice a car parked and obstructing the pavement when we left which we had been advised not to do. Whilst it would have been closer for us to load/unload, we would not have wished to inconvenience any pedestrians by pushing them into the road.

Beds were very comfy. Kitchen was well furnished. TV had iPlayer capability. Easy walk to shopping centre for meals from M&S or Tesco.

Sofa was not comfortable. Bathroom was cramped.

Very stylish, modern decor. Lots of homely touches like provided milk and bottles of water.

We were given a different room to the one we booked which immediately made me very wary. The sofa bed back broke, tv was difficult to hear when the dishwasher or washing machine was on. Near a heavily used road so it was noisy (lots of boy races and revving) meaning we couldn't sleep with the window open (it was warm).
