Es ist umgeben von einem großzügigen Apfelgarten und bietet fünfzehn Apartments mit bis zu 42 Quadratmetern und drei Ferienwohnungen mit bis zu 80 Quadratmetern – je nach Etage mit Balkon oder Terrasse. Ideale Unterkünfte für alle, die gerne nach eigenem Zeitplan logieren und sich selbst versorgen möchten – etwa Individualurlauber, Familien oder Geschäftsreisende. Optimal ist auch die unmittelbare Nähe zur Schweizer Grenze mit 10 km, Insel Mainau mit 25 km und Weltkulturerbe Insel Reichenau mit 20 km. Das neue Boardinghouse Bodensee gehört zum Hotel Gasthaus Hirschen, das nur 800 Meter entfernt ist.
