About this villa rental
Octopus Villa is a 2-storey villa with 2 bedrooms and 2 shower-rooms. It is situated on the edge of Vamos village, is quite private yet within easy walking distance of local tavernas for the taste of real Crete!
The villa is well equipped, with all modern facilities, including washing machine and dishwasher. Free WiFi available.
The villa sleeps up to 4 guests. Rooms in the villa have lovely high wooden beamed ceilings, giving the inside space an airy feel, even in high summer. There is a double bedroom and shower room on the first floor with a large private balcony from where there are beautiful views of the White Mountains to the south-west, and a view across the village of Vamos to the sea at Souda Bay to the north. A second bedroom downstairs with twin beds has access to the pool terrace via patio doors. There is a second shower room downstairs. The bedrooms are air-conditioned - reverse cycle air conditioners provide cool air for the summer heat and will warm the rooms on chilly winter evenings.
There is a kitchen/living area downstairs with patio doors to a covered terrace. All main rooms have ceiling fans.
The villa has its own 35sqm swimming pool, which is 1.6m deep at the deep end, 0.6m at the shallow end, with stone steps between the two levels. There is a terrace around the pool, and a shady balcony at the front of the house, with a garden to the rear. Pool loungers are provided for all guests.
The villa is well-equipped. All modern facilities are provided, including washing machine, cooker, fridge-freezer and a dishwasher. Free WiFi internet access is provided. A safe is provided for your valuables.
There is ample private parking to the front of the villa.

Great villa in a lovely village. We had enough fab tavernas within walking distance to keep our tummies very happy and all the facilities that we needed to eat in. Nektar bakery was an almost daily trip too 😉
Great base to travel by car to lots of cool days out and close to some really nice beaches that were perfect for the kids
Lovely pool and beautiful location for star watching.
Owner was great at communicating.
Would highly recommend for a perfect holiday.

Good location within easy walking distance to local amenities/tavernas/bars. A couple of hills on the way back and the old part of Vamos is quite uneven so heals are not such a good idea. Lovely village though, quite quiet and not touristy at all. Definitely one to come back to.
