About this cottage rental
Diane's Accommodation (2 pers.)
On the ground floor of the former stable is this intimate cottage for 2 people. A living room (19 m²) with 2 armchairs, dining area, kitchen (hob, extractor, oven, dishwasher, sink, fridge, washing machine) welcomes you all year. The bedroom (11 m²) is at the bottom of the house. Bathroom with bath / shower, sink, toilet.
A shaded terrace allows to eat outside or to rest. Those who love full sun will find in front of the house a bench with a small table to spend nice moments until the evening.
Double bed (160 x 200 cm), central heating, TV, Wifi. No smoking.

Located in southern Burgundy with its famous wines of Mâconnais and Beaujolais bordering the castle of Mirande offers everything for a successful stay by choosing one of the bed and breakfast or one of the cottages:
On the property even a heated swimming pool (15 x 7 m), a tennis court, a hammam and mountain bikes are at your disposal. In the surrounding area you will find many possibilities for wine tasting, good restaurants including several starred, markets, two golf courses, various activities on the Saône (water skiing, boat rental, boat trips, canoeing or kayaking) and riding centers. Between Mâcon and Tournus the "blue route" offers an ideal setting for cycling. Finally, a few minutes drive you will find the already Mediterranean town of Mâcon and Tournus with its impressive abbey in the historic center. Cluny, Beaune and Bourg-en-Bresse are also within a short walk.

The chateau itself is absolutely beautiful, recently restored to an exceptional standard. Our family of 4 (2 children age 11 & 13) stayed in one of the 2 bedroom suites, which was very quiet. The owners Nina and Matthias could not have been more helpful, they made dinner reservations for us, advised us on where to cycle (we borrowed their bikes and had a fantastic bike ride along the tow path for 15km to lunch). The breakfast was excellent, traditionally French, but much more than just bread and jam that their website states. The children really enjoyed the swimming pool, but unfortunately we didn't have time to play tennis. Definitely recommended.
