Brooklands Cottage is nestled close to the Yorkshire Dales National Park and within easy reach of the North York Moors National Park.. 1 step to entrance.

Large lawned garden with patio and garden furniture. 8-acre orchard grounds with wildflower meadow (shared with owner). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. This beautiful, single-storey, detached cottage has been finished to a good standard and provides a romantic retreat for a couple or small family. Perfectly situated, set back from a pretty country lane lined with chocolate box cottages and adjacent to the owners’ home and a babbling brook, it is a stone’s throw from the picture perfect village green of Bellerby.
The accommodation is light and airy with an open plan living/dining room/kitchen. In the winter months the wood burner draws you in for a cosy winters evening curled up with a glass of wine and a movie. An en-suite master bedroom with double bed and pretty bed linen and a second single bedroom or dressing room complete the accommodation.
In the summertime throw open the patio doors to enjoy the beautiful patio area looking out onto the garden and orchard beyond. A perfect spot to sit with an early morning coffee and listen to the birds and sounds of the countryside. The property extends beyond the garden to 8 acres in total including beautiful Bellerby fields – an expanse of wildfower meadowland and a Site of Special Scientific Interest supported by Natural England.
The picturesque village of Bellerby sits on the outskirts of Leyburn. Warm and friendly it has a great community spirit and you will often see it decorated in style to celebrate current local events. A short stroll from Brooklands Cottage you will find the village inn.
For the outdoor enthusiasts, the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park opens up around you with walks right from the door. Head into Wensleydale and visit the popular market town of Leyburn less than 2 miles away. Here you will find lots of quirky shops, Dales pubs, tea rooms and the popular Friday market. It can be reached via a 2 mile walk across open countryside. Nearby Middleham with its famous Castle and horse training stables, West Witton with its award-winning restaurant and onwards towards beautiful Aysgarth Falls and the bustling market town of Hawes. Shop and restaurant 2 miles, pub 250 yards.

A super cottage in a great location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Despite a rather damp period, we had a great week in Brooklands Cottage. It is a very warm and comfortable place to stay. We were particularly impressed with the owners arrangements for protecting guests from the coronavirus. We felt very safe staying here.

Faultless! Really lovely cottage, warm, very clean and comfortable. Owners very friendly but not intrusive. We have probably, over the last 30 years, stayed in 50/60 cottages and this must rank No. 1 for cleanliness. Covid 19 precautions could not have been better. Only a couple of miles from Leyburn with plenty of good shops, including Campbells and Co op for good quality groceries and a wonderful bakery in the Market Place. All staff in shops and locals in general were very friendly and helpful. Ideal place for exploring Wensleydale and lower Swaledale. We have already booked another week here.
